Diva Quest

Diva Quest is a non-profit vocal scholarship competition in Southeast Wisconsin. Diva Quest provides young women in high school the opportunity to showcase their vocal singing talents and earn scholarship money towards their post high school education. In preparation for the show, each Diva receives weekly coaching on her solo and learns two songs written in the barbershop style to perform with Riverport Chorus. At the show a panel of four judges and the audience from Illinois and Wisconsin votes on the individuals. Self-esteem and mental health are high priority needs of young females between the ages of 14 and 19 years. Diva Quest supports young females with high quality music education and a structured environment to showcase musical performance.

Our objectives and expected benefits are:
·         To educate young female singers in proper vocal skills
·         To educate young female singers in the unique American folk art of barbershop harmony
·         To further educate females by providing money via a scholarship program
·         To promote better physical and mental health through singing
·         To provide a venue for vocal talent performance
·         To further vocal arts in the community
