Diva Quest 2012 Contestant Information

Dear Contestant,

Welcome to "The 2012 Diva Quest Scholarship Program" sponsored by the Riverport Chorus of Sweet Adelines. Listed below are the details that you will need to potentially win the $1000.00 scholarship!

Auditions:

• Prerecorded - send via Youtube your 2 songs to S5f69ylru5ps@m.youtube.com  Deadline is December 5, 2011 by 7PM.
• Live - perform 2 songs at Bristol Grade Achool, 20121 83rd St, Bristol, WI 53104. Sign up for a time by calling Sue at 262 210 1348.

Audition Requirements:

•  2 songs of contestant's choosing, showing vocal diversity. The entire audition should be approximately 3-4 minutes in length. Ipod or CD must be self-provided if accompaniment is desired.
• Contestants will be judged in the categories of sound, music, expression and showmanship by local musical people not affiliated with Riverport Chorus nor Sweet Adelines International.

Post-Audition

• Within 1 week of the last audition date, contestants will be notified of results.

Informational Meeting

• Top 10 contestants along with a parent or guardian are invited to a meeting on Sunday, December11, 2011 at 6PM in Burlington.
• Contestants will be given music, CDs, and schedules.
• Publicity pictures will be taken of each contestant.

Expectations

• The top 10 contestants will be competing in Diva Quest 2012 held at Waterford High School on January 28, 2012.
• The top 10 contestants will work with the Diva Quest Committee to choose an appropriate song for the final show.
• Contestants are required to attend rehearsals at Bristol Grade School from 6-8 PM on Mondays:January 2,9, & 16; 6-9:30 PM on Monday January 23; and one Sunday January 15 (time-TBA).
